Stories and highlights

There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

Congratulations to our school leaders for 2025. We know they'll do a wonderful job working with our Student Voice team to make our school an even better place.

Kindy Hub starts in Term 2 for children who are starting at Cessnock East PS the following year. It is a terrific transition program that involves children and their family members spending time at school, participating in structured activities and getting to know the school community.

NAIDOC Week is celebrated at our school in the last week of Term 2. Our Jarjums Aboriginal Education Team (AET) works hard to plan and lead a variety of cultural activities across the school, with the help of our Indigenous community members.
